Belgian Black Barbecue

Our friends Gaelle and Dries had studied at the College we attend and invited us to come visit them if we were ever in Belgium. So, since we were passing through anyway we decided to stop off and see them in Ghent. We got to stay on a “Life Aquatic” style Boat/Hostel, we met a bunch of sweet stray cats, we got to have a barbecue with them and their DJ friend Sven who is moving to IBIZA to be a professional DJ. We referred to the Barbecue as “Black Belgian” style in the sense that Dries burned the ba-jeesus out of just about everything we ate. The next day we took a ride with Gaelle to Knokken where Dries’ dad has a beautiful office (see the panorama above) and walked to the beach across the street to fly kites and relax for the day. One of the coolest attractions was the single street where Graffiti was made legal, it looks absolutely astounding.
